Chuck and Marty have been staunch supporters of HLSPCA over our many years. Chuck, definitely a Dog Whisperer in these parts, offers his canine expertise with continued counsel, guidance, volunteer training and that special obedience instruction with our rescues any time we call for help.

Claire Robertson, Trainer.

The owner and trainer at Candid Canines is Claire Robertson. She is currently accruing her teaching hours to take the exam for the CPDT-KA as well as being enrolled in the Suzanne Clothier C.A.R.A.T certification process. In her free time she likes to go on hikes with Charlotte (her personal dog), volunteer at local shelters and horse back ride.

"I became interested in dog training the way most people do. I got a dog that was completely out of control! The more I worked with my dog Charlotte, the better our relationship became. Instead of dreading getting through the front door and possibly losing my dog due to her escape tendencies, I was happy and excited to take Charlotte on walks and to family events.

I believe training is a tool to help you and your dog become best friends and use relationship building, reinforcement based training and creative problem solving as a means to create that friendship."
